General Manager, Engineering

Kamaruddin Bin Shuib, has served as the General Manager of Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd since 1 January 2026. He joined the company, then known as Konsortium Lapangan Terjaya Sdn Bhd, in January 2007 as Senior Manager – Engineering and was promoted to Deputy General Manager, Engineering on 1 December 2015, prior to assuming his current position.

He holds a Certificate in Civil Engineering from Ungku Omar Polytechnic, a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Kamaruddin began his career with the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia in 1981, where he was involved in supervising major civil engineering projects, including the construction of educational facilities and infrastructure works. He subsequently joined KUB Development Berhad as Technical Manager, overseeing residential, hospitality, and marina development projects across Malaysia.

In 1996, he joined Duta Nilai Holding Sdn Bhd as Group Manager, leading the implementation of key property development projects, including large-scale residential developments in Semenyih and high-rise residential projects in Damansara. Prior to joining Maju Expressway, he worked as an independent consultant and constructor, undertaking design-and-build projects and government infrastructure works in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

With over four decades of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure development, and highway operations, Kamaruddin has played a significant role in the planning, development, maintenance, and operational management of the Maju Expressway. As General Manager, he continues to lead the company's engineering and operational functions, driving service excellence, asset sustainability, and the delivery of safe and reliable highway infrastructure for road users.
